University of L’Aquila – UNIVAQ
UNIVAQ counts presently 23.000 students, 644 teachers-researchers, 504 administrative and technical staff. After the reform the 9 Faculties were transformed in 7 Departments which, besides research, provide Bachelor, Master and PhD Programmes in the areas Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, Humanities, Psychology, Economics, Educational Sciences, Sport Sciences, Biotechnologies. Research is developed in the Departments and in 2 Excellence Centres of Research (CETEMPS, DEWS), 3 interdepartmental Research Centres worldwide known.
UNIVAQ considers the international cooperation fundamental for the full participation in the EHEA and ERA. The policy aiming to become a reference point for a globalised knowledge world for higher education and research allowed the cooperation with Universities from EU and Third Countries. The centralised “International Project Office” supports academic staff in preparing and managing projects and disseminates results and experiences to the University bodies. The office, in cooperation with IRO, implemented several International projects in the fields of education, research and cooperation (LLP, international degrees, EMA2, EMA1, TEMPUS, ESF, Italy-France, EC-Canada, Marie Curie, FPs, Life, Interreg IIIA,B,C, IVC, etc.). The internationalisation gave rise to 6 international degrees, 1 Erasmus Mundus Master degree, 11 Erasmus Mundus Action 2, two as coordinator, (target countries in all continents). The university currently is managing (as coordinator or partner) several FP7/Horizon projects and agreements with institutions from all over the world. Quality of degree courses in all the all the engineering topics (Energy, building techniques and materials, waste recycling, …) represents a key part of research and teaching and a fundamental issue of public debate in the phase of the reconstruction of the town of L’Aquila after the earthquake of 2009.
UNIVAQ is developing a quality assessment procedure following the ENQA guidelines and standards, and applying the TUNING, EUR-ACE methodologies in projecting the curricula.

Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences – WUELS
The Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences is a state university established in 1951. It consists of 5 faculties: Biology and Animal Science; Food Science, Life Sciences and Technology; Environmental Engineering and Geodesy and Veterinary Medicine. The enrolment of undergraduate, post graduate and PhD students is around 10 000. The study programs are in line with the Bologna Process. ECTS system has been implemented at each level of study. The course structure is focused on learning outcomes and students’ competences. The environmental issues are covered at each level of study. The University participates in the Erasmus+ Programme and other EU programmes and offers a number of courses taught in English. The number of international students has been steadily increasing at each faculty. EU funding has resulted in the development of new facilities and state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
The Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences can organise workshops and seminars connected with the tasks related to the project, especially EU legislation and directives on Environmental Laws and their implementation in the curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The University has also experience in preparing the methodology and evaluation procedures of the TEMPUS projects. It is well prepared to run summer school programmes, can develop training courses and use its experience in the quality assurance and monitoring of the programme development.

University of Szeged – USZ

Due to the implementation of infocommunication developments, electronic systems, library e-services, on-line courses and computerbased exams are all an integral part of higher education in Szeged. University students enjoy the benefits of the virtual university, as their administrative tasks have become simpler and a lot faster; they only have to click on the appropriate option in front of their computers. The USZ has a widespread network of relations throughout the world. Due to its extended foreign relations, the institution also serves as an international meeting point; as it is annually chosen by nearly 2,000 students from other countries. The number of foreign students, who can choose from programs at three different levels, has risen by 20 % during the previous years. Middlesex University Higher Education Corporation – MDX
Middlesex University is a large International University with 35, 000 students many of whom study overseas, with campuses in London, Dubai Mauritius and soon in Malta. Middlesex University consists of six Schools and the Institute of Work -Based Learning. Since 1996 MDX has received 3 Queen’s Anniversary Prizes and a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the only UK university to achieve this recognition. MDX has an excellent record of QAA accreditations, and has also extensive experience in developing and delivering undergraduate, Master’s and PhD programmes in a range of fields. We have an extensive network of international links and have been collaborating in joint research projects funded mainly by EU iniatives and programmes. The University pioneered e-learning and e-training support through the use of innovative technologies and e-learning strategies. Experts from across the University ensure that all programmes adhere to the EQF, ENQA standards and the QAA (UK).

University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – UTCM
University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia , Bulgaria offers Bachelor, Master and PhD curricula in the field of Chemical Engineering and Technologies, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Biotechnology, Ecology, Control Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science and Industrial Management. University has a highest rank state institutional accreditation awarded by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency and corresponding accreditations for all Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes.
UCTM fully has fully applied Bologna standards for ECTS application. This system is applied for recognising periods of study abroad.
UCTM possesses well developed internal system for evaluation of educational and research activities (staff attestation). The system includes a periodical assessment of pedagogical and research achievements of the academic staff members. Regular students evaluation of lecture courses, seminars and laboratory exercises is an important part of every individual staff attestation. Bearing in mind the importance of the quality management and accreditation UCTM appointed a Vice Rector who manages and coordinates all institutional activities in these fields. Quality of UCTM has been recognised by its high rating – among top 3 Universities in Bulgaria for 2014.
UCTM is ERASMUS chartered University with contacts and active Erasmus exchange with all EU countries. University has been an active partner in 4 EMECW projects as well as in 8 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects . UCTM has internationally recognized Bachelor and Master degrees in the filed of Environmental Protection, Energy Efficiency and Chemical Engineering developed jointly with EU Universities and awards joint degrees together with Belgium, Germany and UK which is an additional proof for the quality of education provided by UCTM .
