Batumi ShotaRustaveli State University is an important educational, scientific and cultural center of our country. It has an 80-year-long history.

Akaki Tsereteli State University – ATSU
Akaki Tsereteli State University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education of Georgia with wide spectrum of study programs and research fields. ATSU is the leading University in the region. KTU and Subtropical University merged with ATSU, that lead to the great variety of study programmes and research fields. There 9 faculties at the University with approximately 10,000 students. The university has participated in more than 14 international projects, 8 of them are ongoing Tempus projects. There 9 faculties The main activities of the university are providing high quality education in the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels. The University strives to contribute to the development of professional education system through the implementation of the up-to-date professional education programmes.

Ilia State University – ISU
Ilia State University is the leading public research higher education institution in Georgia. ISU was established in 2006, after it united six different Georgian institutions and since then it has been the flagship HEI of the country. ISU aims to provide high-quality education and it strives for the development of liberal society and sustainable future. Research is encouraged at ISU as the core higher education activity and the strategy to recruit and retain the best academics and researchers is in place. It has attracted well-known high quality academic staff not only at home, but also from abroad. ISU closely collaborates with foreign colleagues and foundations and appreciates the help that comes from this collaborative network. In addition to the external funding that ISU receives, mostly from the EU and the United States, the university allocates approximately 8% of its annual budget for conducting the planned research activities and it is the highest share of funds allocated for such activities amongst the Georgian public universities.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia – MoES
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (Georgian: საქართველოსგანათლებისადამეცნიერებისსამინისტრო) is a governmental body responsible for education system and children’s services in Georgia. The Minister is located on Uzandze street in Tbilisi in a historical building built in Mauritanic style. The current Minister of Education and Science of Georgia is Tamar Sanikidze.
There are twenty-four state higher education institutions and their fourteen branches in Georgia. In addition, 81 private higher education institutions have passed the accreditation process. Studies in some 300 different specialities are offered in higher education institutions. They include fields which are highly specialized, such as the study of Kartvelian languages (related to Georgian) and Caucasian languages, as well as traditional Science and Technology subjects. Technical and specialized institutes offer studies in Metallurgy, Cableway and Railway Transport, Chemical and Food Technology, and Wine Making, Silkworm Breeding, the growing of tea and citrus fruits. Courses in Fine Arts (Theatre, Cinematography, Painting, and Sculpture) are provided by specialized higher education institutions.
Georgia joined the Bologna Declaration and started the reform accordingly. ECTS are used and applied



Khazar University
Khazar University is a private educational institution for undergraduate, graduate and professional studies promoting advanced study and research, educational policy and development in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It the first University in Azerbaijan composed of multiple independent schools united by the same academic policy and principles, which offer a wide scope of diverse majors in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Economics, Management and Business Administration, Education.
Khazar University is also one of the leading universities in Azerbaijan in terms its relations with industry and has established effective relations with the leading local and international companies. Baku Engineering University 
Baku Engineering University has taken the place of Qafqaz University in 2017. In the past, it has been providing the highest standards in education in Azerbaijan for its students since 1993 and has been the top rated private university since 1996. Modeled on the western education program the university has been offering the credit point system since the day it was opened and adopted the ECTS in all departments. Qafqaz University is the first and only higher educational institution which was nominated with the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Certificate and Total Quality Management 100 Certificate of International Arc of Europe in Golden Category in Azerbaijan. The university offers B.A, M.A., M.Sc., MBA and doctoral programs as well as joint M.A. and M.Sc. programs with universities from the United States and Europe (School of Engineering, School of Economic & Administrative Sciences, and School of Education). Currently the total student population exceeds 4200. Currently 20 education programs out of 29 disciplines are taught completely in English.
