Samarkand Agricultural Institute – SAI
Samarkand Agricultural Institute is one of the oldest institutions in Central Asia. It was founded in 1929 by the Government act of Republic of Uzbekistan. Samarkand Agricultural Institute (SAI) is university type higher educational organization under Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education and Ministry of Agriculture and Water resources. SAI provide higher and adult education, research on agricultural related sciences and extension among farmers. Samarkand agricultural institute was founded in 1929 and now it is considered to be one of the leading educational establishments in agricultural branch in Central Asia. The main activities related to higher education and fundamental and applied research in 3 levels including bachelor, master and doctoral schools.
The 4 faculties of the institute are training specialist on 17 directions, such as: agronomy, agrochemistry and soil science, the agricultural seed farming and selection, the protection of plants and carantine, forestry, economics, accounting and audit, the farm management, agro-engineering, the production of agricultural products, storage and technology of their initial processing, veterinary, zootechnics, karakul-sheep breeding, professional pedagogics. The master’s courses on 18 specialties and postgraduate courses on 21 specialties are successfully functioning. Total number of students more than 4500 and staff members about 1000, with 343 faculty members.

Andijan Agricultural Institute – AAI
Andijan Agricultural Institute (AAI) has started transience to higher education system based on two main cycles (Bachelor and Master). There are the main university and deliver Bachelor and Master degrees in several specialties in Fergana valley, Uzbekistan. AAI counts about 3800 students and 305 teachers. AAI have well established research laboratories and extended farms where didactic and research activities are implemented.
The main objectives of the University include the sustainable development of agriculture, resource saving, environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and protection of farm animals from different diseases.
Andijan Agricultural Institute (AAI) present the right environment for the experimentation of the new Curriculum since they have already begun international cooperation and recognised the necessity of promoting and supporting the improvement of the language skills of teachers and staff, students’ mobility and the updating of teaching methods and materials, but the process is only at the beginning and has affected only few people.

Termez State Univeristy – TerSU
Termez State University is situated in the City of Termez City, in the far south of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The administrative centre of the southern region Surkhandarya of the Republic – ancient Termez City with 2500 year history has been considered one of the cradles of civilization acknowledged by the world since ancient times.
Today one of the biggest universities of the Republic – Termez State University was reorganised on February 28, 1992 by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of Termez State Pedagogical Institute has been functioning since 1954.
Being the only higher educational institution in the region the University consists of 10 faculties (Natural sciences, Physics-mathematics, Pedagogy, History, Physical Culture, Foreign languages, Uzbek philology, Techniques, Social-Economics, and Improving qualification of vocational institutions staff) and Graduate study department (Master) and 32 chairs. There functions Center of Information Technologies and Information Resources. There are 5 academic lyceums under the University. There are more than 500 highly qualified teaching staff enlightening and educating the students at the University, and 10 of them are Doctors of science and professors, 153 candidates of science and associate professors.
More than 7 thousand students on Bachelor’s Degree specialties in 35 area of study, 120 Master’s Degree students on 12 specialties study at the University. The academic progress is undertaken in Uzbek, Russian, English, German and Tadjik languages.
The staff of the University is always working on establishing and strengthening comprehensive relations with foreign scholars of developed countries. Dozens of the University professors regular visit higher educational institutions of developed countries to exchange experience and deliver lectures.
Termez State University established scientific-pedagogical relations with a number of prestigious universities of Europe and Asia. For instance, Munich, Bonn, Giessen Universities (Germany), Charles University (Czech Republic), Pisa University (Italy), Soka and Rissho Universities (Japan), Keimyung University (South Korea), Delhi University (India), Balkh State University (Afghanistan), Ethnology Institute of Academy of Science of Russia and Moscow State Universities and etc. The University participates since 2012 on two Tempus projects (TuCAHEA, SAMUz) and obtained good experience on Tempus projects and on working international projects. MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UZBEKISTAN- MHSSE
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Uzbek Republic is the central state organisation which is carrying out is executive-administrative functions in a sphere of education, sciences and the state control over availability and quality assurance of education, maintenance of a constitutional law on the education for citizens in the Kirghiz Republic, carrying out a state policy in a sphere of education, a science and innovations.
Uzbekistan intends to join the Bologna Declaration and start the reform accordingly. ECTS must be developed and their use spread in the country.

TAJIKISTAN

KULOB STATE UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER ABUABDULLOH RUDAKI – KulSU
Kulob State University (KulSU) named after Abuabdullohi Rudaki was formed in 1945. During 70 years of its existence, more than 30 000 specialists graduated it and obtained higher education degree. During these years, in spite of difficulties and shortage of management personnel the quantities of faculties at the university were increased from 5 up to 10 and specialties from 5 up to 38. KulSU is the education institution, the most advanced on the way of reform. Now more than 7000 students study in KulSU. It has been taking an active participation in 6 TEMPUS and ERASMUS MUNDUS projects as: CANQA, Pro-Training, QUADRIGA, EDUCA, TuCAHEA and CANEM. In the framework of the project were signed bilateral agreements with European universities to exchange students and teachers. Also the University has signed an agreement with more than 50 Universities of Central Asia, Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Armenia(Erevan State University), China, India, Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia, USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal and etc.

KHUJAND STATE UNIVERSITY named after academician B.Gafurov – KhSU
Khujand State University will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2012. It is oldest University in the North Tajikistan. It was founded in 1932 and functioned as Leninabad State Pedagogical institute until 1991. On 13 June 1991 it was converted into Khujand State University.
In its first year it had two faculties: mathematics and natural sciences. The institute had only 26 students who were taught by 9 lectures.
Today the University is considered as one of the biggest educational and scientific centers of Tajikistan. There are 17 faculties at our University which train teachers of the Tajik, Uzbek, English, German, Russian and Arabic Languages., Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology and etc.
The University also prepares other specialists as lawyers, artists, economists, programmists, journalists, musicians, actors, singers and etc. our graduates are working not only in our Republic, but also in various countries of the world (-30), including the USA, England, Germany and Russia.
Every faculty has his own direction of science. I am working with my colleague from Physics- technics faculty. I have experience in International projects – IAEA, DSCE, UNDP, ISTC, Erasmus Mundus and TEMPUS.

TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF TAJIKISTAN – TUT
Technological University of Tajikistan (TUT) is one of the prestigious universities in Tajikistan, which prepares highly qualified specialists with the specialization of Food and Textile Technology, Information Technology, Management, Economics and Design. In the structure of the university there are two branches in Kulob and Isfara cities. Technological University of Tajikistan has 9 faculties, 23 departments and under 27 majors students are specialized. Presently, at the university study about 6000 students (Bachelor, Master, and PhD). Besides, in 2005 TUT was selected by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan as a pilot university on introduction of Bolognese credit education system. After widely realization mechanism of the credit education system in 2010 the first graduates successfully left university in the frame of newly introduced system. Therefore, taking into account the complete introduction of the system and based on achieved positive results, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan recommended other HEIs in the country to launch credit education.
In addition, Technological University of Tajikistan within the past years expanded its international cooperation. It signed cooperation agreements with more than 65 HEIs of the world, in particular with European HEIs. Within the frame of signed bilateral agreement through Office of International Relations and Sector of International Projects, the university has been carrying exchange of students, teachers and researchers under Erasmus Mundus projects. Moreover, university actively has been participating in the implementation of grant projects, in the examples of TEMPUS, FP7 (seventh framework program), GIZ projects.

TAJIK STATE UNIVERSITY OF COMMERCE – TSUC
Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC) is one of the leading HEIs Tajikistan in the fields of economics and management that has been was founded in 1987 on the bases of the Trade Institute. Today TSUC with more then 10 thousands students and more 400 teaching staff is a main players in the market of education services of the Republic of Tajikistan and having proved in the areas of the countries near abroad and the Commonwealth of Independent States with multilevel programs and courses based on credit-hour based system of education.
Tajik State University of Commerce provides 12 programs in the fields of economics and business. The University has a branch in the form of the Institute of Economy and Trade in Khujand, Economic Gymnasium in Dushanbe, 5 faculties, 14 academic departments.
The Tajik State University of Commerce is the one of the first University in Republic of Tajikistan that in 2005 has been introduced the credit-hour based system of training based on ESTC. In this relations, all normative and methodological documents under the preparations and implementation.
Teaching is conducted in Tajik, Russian and English languages. TSUC degrees are given in economics, finance, accounting, audit, management, marketing, international relations, state and local governance, tourism, information systems, computing etc. It has several dozens of international partner universities in more than 12 countries. Exchange programs are established among other with such reputable Schools as Valencia University, Kemyang University, Pacific College, New Zealand, Poltava trade University, Belarus State University in Minsk, Novosibirsk University, Russia. TSUC is an active member of the Erasmus+, Eurasia Foundation, OSI programs.

KAZAKHSTAN

INNOVATIVE UNIVERSITY OF EURASIA – InEU
Innovative University of Eurasia is a modern university. It was founded in 1991 by the Government act of Republic of Kazakhstan. InEU provides undergraduate, postgraduate and adult education. S. Seifullin KAZAKH AGRO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY – KATU
The mission of KATU is the generation, introduction, distribution and application of advanced knowledge for improving the life quality as well as increasing the competitiveness of agrarian and industrial complex and other branches of economy. The total number of students makes up 11 287. Training is carried out at three levels:bachelor, masters and PhD programs in the framework of 82 educational programs. The number of teaching staff makes up 871. Half of them have scientific degrees, including 84 doctors of sciences. According to the results of world university ranking of QS agency (QS World University Rankings®), KATU is among 800 best universities in the world since 2012. It is a member of Magna Charta of Universities. Cooperation in the field of education and science is carried out with more than 70 institutions from 30 countries of the world: Germany, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Finland, Italy, Turkey, USA, Russia, China, Australia, Malaysia, Belarussiya, Mongolia and others. During 2012 – 2015, 105 foreign professors from 22 countries of the world visited KATU for teaching separate courses, 235 lecturers of KATU undertook international internships. Teaching on 167 subjects is implemented in English. Two international centers: Kazakh-Chinese science and education center and Kazakhstan-Belarusian Center for training and retraining of engineering cadres were created on the basis of KATU. KAZAKH NATIONAL AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY – KazNAU
Kazakh National Agrarian University (KazNAU) is based on two of the oldest universities in the country – Almaty Veterinary (was found in 1929) and Kazakh Agricultural Institutions (was found in 1930).
University implements educational programs in 42 undergraduate, 39 master’s and 16 doctoral PhD specialties.
Training at the university is conducted by nearly 800 teachers, among them 9 academicians and 8 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, 158 doctors and 292 candidates of sciences. In recent years, about 100 young scientists, trained in other developed countries, joined the teaching staff of the university.
More than 6,000 students, including 5306 bachelor’s, 766 master’s and 97 doctoral students are enrolled at the university. Also the representatives of 27 nationalities are trained.

According to the degree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan (July, 2009), KazNAU was defined as the basic training centre on agricultural specialities, correspondingly University provides communication and coordination of educational organizations, leading the agrarian profile training.
There is a unified Credit technology of learning in all HEI’s in Kazakhstan. Implementing of credit system in KazNAU promotes the internationalizationof the university, the academic mobility development, academic freedom, curriculum development,elective disciplinesand etc.
But at the same time KZ Universitites have a problems with credit transfer and the process of course credits calculation in KZ Universities is not in line with Bologna process principles.

Sh. Ualikhanov KOKSHETAU STATE UNIVERSITY – KokSU
Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University is one of the leading regional universities in the Northern Kazakhstan. It is more than 50 years in the lead of the education system. The university established in 1996.
Today Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University is a modern, actively developing higher education institution with a worthy tradition, great potential and serious plans for the future.
Currently, there are 6 faculties at the university. Academic staff consists of over 500 professors. The students are trained in 54 specialties. The total number of students is about 9000 people. The university offers educational programs on Bachelor (4 years), Master (2 years), Ph.D (3 years). The university educational process is adopted to the principles of the Bologna Process based on ECTS and “University-Enterprise” relations.
In order to promote research activities and expanding the range of applied objectives new scientific laboratories and institutes function at the university: Eurasian Centre for Sustainable Development named after Vernadsky, NMR spectroscopy laboratory, the laboratory of wind turbines made of composite materials, the Scientific Research Institute of the region, a research laboratory of agro innovation and laboratory of linguistics.
One of the priority tasks of the KokSU is to ensure the competitiveness and demand for the graduates, international recognition of diplomas, and high economic and social status of the teaching staff. Today the university gradually build a strategy integration with the world educational and scientific information system.
The university closely works with more than 60 leading research centers in Poland, Turkey, Germany, USA, UK, Slovakia, Russia, the countries of Central Asia.
Lecturers and students participate in international educational programs such as: DAAD, IREX, LOGO, TEMPUS, Erasmus Mundus, State Scholarship “Bundestag”, “Bolashak. The university actively pursue a program of academic mobility for teachers and students.
In 17 March, 2008 our University was given the Award “EUROPEAN QUALITY” in Oxford (England) for Quality Management in Education. Since 2010 KokSU is a member of Magna Charta Universitatum (Bologna, Italy).
In 2009, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University awarded the International Award “Millenium” for effective use in the professional field of advanced technologies, the development and implementation of extraordinary, innovative solutions within the framework of the program “Leaders of the XXI Century”.

KYRGYZSTAN

Jusup Balasagyn KYRGYZ NATIONAL UNIVERSITY – KNU
Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University is modern multidisciplinary educational, scientific and cultural institution with its harmonious system of higher education, adequate to modern requirements. It successfully combines the best traditions of the national high school and innovative experience of the world system of university education.
KNU provides several levels of higher professional education, and main programs are as follow;
-Bachelor Degrees programs (4 years) on 39 fields and 80 specializations
-5 years specialists programs
-Master degrees programs on 32 fields of science
-Doctorate degrees programs on 6 fields of science
All fields of study and specializations have their own curriculum, qualification that meets the requirements of the State Educational Standard of Kyrgyzstan. Every of 21 faculties have their own study program on all disciplines with availability of all methodology required.
Management system of the KNU is adapted to the modern management model of the higher educational institutions. It contains the KNU’s positive experience in the past and innovations received from European Universities’ management system.

OSH STATE UNIVERSITY – OSU
Osh State University (OSU) is one of the leading universities in Kyrgyz Republic. By amount of students OSU is the largest educational institution in the country providing education for more than 27 000 students. More than 1500 teachers work at the university including academicians and members of the National Academy of Sciences of KR, 46 Doctors of Sciences, 327 candidates of sciences and associate professors, 33 honored and 127 excellent educators of the Kyrgyz Republic. The university has a powerful material and educational base, the most solid scientific and pedagogical potential among higher educational institutions of the region. There are 3 Research Institutes, 15 Faculties, 2 Educational Institutes, 3 Colleges, 27 various international, educational and cultural centers equipped with modern computers and internet facilities in all ОSU campuses. KYRGYZ NATIONAL AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY named K.I. Skryabin – KNAU
Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (KNAU) is the oldest and diversified institution of higher education on agricultural sector. During its activities more than 40 thousands specialists were graduated from KNAU who work in various spheres of agricultural sector of the Republic. Nowadays KNAU educates middle and highly qualified specialists on more than 30 specialties and fields, as well as the scientists for the agricultural science.
Educational activity is based on 6 faculties: Agronomy and Forestry, Economics and business, Technology of production and agricultural products and agricultural products processing, Natural resources management, Veterinary medicine and biotechnology, Engineering technical, where more than 7 thousand students study on fulltime and part time forms of education.
There are also 4 scientific research institutions in the KNAU:
•Institute of the livestock and pasture (with 10 pedigree farms and 1 experimental seed growing farm);
•Institute of the veterinary named after A. Duysheev (with experimental station);
•Institute of crop research (with 2 experimental stations, 2 breeding experimental stations, 2 seed farm, 1 base station);

There are 3 technical schools: The Bishkek agroeconomical college named after S.Tursunov, the Tokmok agroindustrial college, the Agrotechnical college, 1 lyceum.
